    WysePower is a leading nationwide provider of temporary site support services since 1958. They provide turnkey design, supply, installation, maintenance, and testing service on medium and large-scale construction projects. With over 200 directly employed and qualified staff operating from eight regional depots, they support the most complex projects throughout the UK.


    The customer needed to modernize the old maintenance management system that didn’t match the company’s existing workflows. The results of a technical audit showed that we need to fully redesign the old data structure and replace the outdated technologies.

    Blackthorn Vision had to synchronize field and office operations for effective maintenance activities across all locations. The main project goals included:

    • Reduce the amount of paperwork at the main office
    • Reduce manual processing of hard-copy reports from operatives
    • Automate work processes and manually managed sets of rules


    Blackthorn Vision created two solutions to achieve the needed functionality: the desktop application for the main office and the tablet application for worksites. The two solutions share a single database, providing communication between on-site specialists and office managers. This approach allows displaying projects, work records, and other vital data in real-time.

    Since the modernized system required an advanced data structure, we started by redesigning the database. Our engineers adjusted the database to new user requirements and migrated the old data to the cloud infrastructure. Cloud computing has allowed us to build a secure and dynamic platform that meets the current business needs.


    WysePower CMS2 SystemFor the main office, we developed a feature-rich application based on the WPF framework. The application provides the following features:

    • Smart sorting of a project list
    • Add new projects
    • Broad functionality for project estimation
    • Change tender and constructors requirements
    • Manage work records
    • Adjust site information
    • Manage revisions
    • Create invoices
    • Manage timesheets
    • Generate reports

    The tablet application

    For field performers, we created an easy-to-use tablet application that promotes coordination between engineers for more effective work performance. The solution allows users to:

    • Track work records
    • Filter work records by status, engineer, project, and depot
    • Create requests for new work
    • Log overtimes
    • Add new work records
    • Change work record description and attach images
